Here we are one week from the deadline and many of you are still hammering away on the NaNoWriMo. For most of you this week will be a mad dash to get finished. I wish you the best of luck.
I also perused the internet to find a little encouragement that might help you push yourself over the edge of what you think you are capable of accomplishing: success stories.
1. Natalie Zutter provides a list of successful best selling NaNoWriMo novels of all genres.
2. NaNo writer Richard W. Haines writes about his NaNo experience and how it launched his career.
3. Forbes Magazine reports on a list of authors who found success through the competition.
4. The Online Education Database reports on a top ten list of authors who saw great success from competing in the NaNoWriMo.
I hope that by reading some of these success stories you will be inspired to get cracking on your novel. You only have a few more days, and time is precious. Today is the day that NaNoWriMo activates their validator as well. My hopes and prayers are with you all!
Now get back to work!
